Rosenboom Machine and Tool received the award at the annual Northwest Iowa Development Partner Meeting in Sheldon last week, recognizing them for their recent expansion project.

We talked to Sheldon Community Development (SCDC) Director Curt Strouth about it. He tells us about the award.

Founder and president of Rosenboom Machine and Tool (RMT), Lary Rosenboom says that they were very honored to have received the award, and they wanted to thank not only the Northwest Iowa Development Partners, but also their employees, who he says do “an excellent job.”

Also honored at the meeting was Sioux Center Land Development, which received the 2016 Beyond Expectations Economic Development Support Award, which recognizes outstanding efforts in northwest Iowa economic development; and soon-to-be former Sioux Center City Manager Paul Clousing, who received an Economic Development Award of Appreciation, recognizing his many contributions to development in the region. Clousing was one of the original visionaries behind the northwest Iowa regional economic development effort, which lead to the formation of Northwest Iowa Development.
