Sheriff: It’s Not Done Yet, So Stay Off B40 Or There Will Be Tickets

Hospers, Iowa — While B40 between Hospers and Sioux Center LOOKS almost done, it is not. And that’s causing some issues.

Sioux County Sheriff Jamie Van Voorst tells us that while it’s open to local traffic (people who live on the closed road), they want the large majority of motorists to stay OFF of B40 for now.

He tells us they’ve seen many people using the road, and if it doesn’t stop, they will be writing tickets.

He says they’re hoping the crews are able to complete their work in a timely manner.

When it’s in use, the well-traveled county road is part of the quickest route between Sheldon and Sioux Center.
