Paullina, Iowa — We don’t need the calendar to tell us that winter will be here soon. But there’s a hike planned at Mill Creek Park near Paullina that will help prove that point and welcome the season.
The O’Brien County Conservation Board is holding a “Signs of the Season” hike on Tuesday, December 20, at 5:00 p.m. at Mill Creek Park, according to O’Brien County Naturalist Charlene Elyea.
She says the activity will take place regardless of ground cover. If you’re interested, she says you should meet near the lodge. If there is snow on the ground, she says they will be trekking on snowshoes. Snowshoes will be available to borrow free of charge. If there is no snow, she says they will be hiking.
