Sioux Center, Iowa — A Sioux Center man was taken to the hospital after an accident in Sioux Center.
The Sioux Center Police reports that about 5:30 PM on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, 29 -year-old Todd Rozeboom was driving a 1990 Ford southbound on 20th Street NE. Sixty-four year-old Christopher Forest was southbound on a business drive in a 2003 Ford pickup.
The report says that Forest stopped to look both directions before entering 20th Street to go westbound. He says when he looked east he didn’t see Rozeboom. The officer’s report does say there was a large snow drift pushed up along the north side of the street. When Forest pulled out, Rozeboom attempted to stop, but was unable to, due to snow and ice on the road, and struck the back of the Forest vehicle.
The Sioux Center Ambulance took Rozeboom to Sioux Center Health Hospital.
Rozeboom ‘s Ford sustained $ 2200 in damages, and Forest ‘s pickup sustained $4000 in damages.
No charges were filed.
