Sioux Center Woman Faces Felony Drug Charges

Orange City, Iowa — A Sioux Center woman was arrested on narcotics charges Wednesday morning, May 31st by Sioux County Sheriff’s Deputies.

Sioux County authorities say the arrest of 38-year old Kami Jo Schiebout, of Sioux Center, stemmed from an investigation that began on Monday, May 22nd, when deputies received an anonymous tip that Schiebout was present at a church event in Orange City.  Deputies say the tipster reported that they believed there was an arrest warrant for Schiebout.

Deputies say they located Schiebout, confirmed there was a valid warrant, and arrested her at the church.  After arresting Schiebout for the outstanding arrest warrant, authorities say deputies executed a search warrant on her purse and reportedly discovered illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia inside it.

Authorities say Schiebout was arrested Wednesday morning, and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession marijuana and possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver, which is a Class B Felony.

The Orange City Police Department and the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office Canine Unit assisted in the investigation, according to authorities.
