Sioux County Democrats Announce Caucus Plans For February 7th

Northwest Iowa — It’s almost time for the Iowa party caucuses again. Contrary to popular belief, caucuses are not only held on Presidential election years. In northwest Iowa, both parties are holding caucuses this year on Monday, February 7th.

Sioux County Democratic Party Chair Antia Cirulis says at their caucus this year, they will discuss and adopt proposed resolutions to be added to the county platform, elect delegates and alternates to the Sioux County Democratic Convention, and elect precinct committeepersons to the Sioux County Democratic Central Committee.

She says all registered Democrats are encouraged to attend, and you may register at the caucus. Cirulis says that per state party requirements, masks are required and vaccination is encouraged. You can email Kim Van Es at kim.vanes1966@gmail.com with any questions.
