Sioux Center, Iowa — Law officers and people who work with kids will have an opportunity to take school resource officer training right here in northwest Iowa in August.
Sioux County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer, Deputy Waylon Pollema says the Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) Basic School Resource Officer training course from August 8th through the 12th, 2022.

Pollema says the course is also beneficial for educational professionals dedicated to providing a safe learning environment and provides a more in-depth understanding of the role and functions of an SRO.
