Snow, Slippery Roads, And Down to 20 Below Again

Sheldon, Iowa — The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Sheldon area.

We’re not supposed to get too much more snow from the sky, but what we have could blow around a bit. The weather service says to plan on slippery road conditions. Information on statewide road conditions can be obtained by calling 511, or by going to www.511ia.org.

We’ll see below-zero temperatures again overnight tonight with the wind gusting up to 35 miles per hour. The high temp this Friday might make it up to 5 above but the temperature will plummet to around 20 below zero Friday night, with a high maybe not even making it above zero again for Saturday.

The cold spell will be short-lived, with the temperature expected to get into the 20s on Sunday. We could even get some thawing next week with 30s expected until at least Wednesday.
