Sheldon, Iowa — During their regular meeting this week, the Sheldon City Council heard from one of the City’s garbage hauling companies. City Manager Sam Kooiker says Jeff Schwarz of Schwarz Sanitary in Sheldon, addressed the Council.
Kooiker says a public hearing was scheduled during a prior Council meeting, and was supposed to take place during the May 3 Council meeting. However, due to a clerical error, the item found its way onto this week’s agenda.
He says the Council passed a series of resolutions on budgeting items as part of the Consent Agenda for the meeting.
Kooiker says the Council also took up a variety of development projects in the City during Wednesday’s meeting.
The Sheldon City Council also began a review of the Sheldon Code of Ordinances during this week’s meeting. A review that Kooiker says, is long overdue.
