Iowa City, Iowa — The Sutherland mother of a man charged with attempting to rob and kill a woman last year on the University of Iowa campus has been found guilty in a case in which she was accused of helping her son flee the country to avoid being prosecuted.
The jury deliberated for over four hours after two days of testimony to find 45-year-old Lima Younes guilty. She could face up to five years in prison. Her sentencing is set for September 21st.
