O’Brien County, Iowa — What’s being billed as a Preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Map Meeting is scheduled for Thursday evening in Primghar.
O’Brien County Emergency Management Coordinator Jared Johnson tells KIWA that the meeting will be open to the public.
Johnson says representatives from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be on hand for the meeting.
He says O’Brien County was selected for a Rate Map Update.
Johnson says Thursday evening’s meeting is designed as an information sharing session.
Thursday’s meeting will begin at 5:00 pm, and will be held at the Primghar Community Center which is located diagonally across the street from the southeast corner of the O’Brien County Courthouse.
