Sheldon, Iowa — If you bought Sheldon Merry Money this year and have some you haven’t spent, time is growing short.
On City and School Election Day, November 5th, the SCDC sold $125,000 worth of Merry Money to be used for Christmas shopping at participating member businesses. Sales were brisk, with all $125,000 worth selling out in a matter of a few hours. Each household could buy up to $2,000 in Merry Money, at a discount, at the time of sale.
There is a deadline for spending Merry Money each year, with Christmas Eve being the expiration date. In other words, any remaining Merry Money you have yet to spend, needs to be spent by the time stores close on Tuesday.
So don’t delay, use up your 2019 Sheldon Merry Money before it expires Tuesday, at any participating Sheldon business. A list of those businesses may be found below.
