VandenBosch Pretrial Conference Pushed Back

Sheldon, Iowa — A Boyden man who was arrested in Sheldon in July on a felony burglary warrant was to have faced a pretrial conference this Tuesday, September 26th. But the conference has been postponed.

According to the Sheldon Police Department, 36-year old Casey VandenBosch faces a charge of 3rd Degree Burglary, which is a Class D Felony. Police say the charges stem from the investigation into an incident that took place in western Sheldon this summer, in which someone entered a house through a window.

Police say VandenBosch was booked into the O’Brien County Jail following his arrest.

According to online court records, VandenBosch filed a written plea of “not guilty.”

Judge Nancy Whittenburg originally scheduled the pretrial conference for this Tuesday, September 26th. At the time, she also scheduled the jury trial for Tuesday, October 24th, both at the O’Brien County Courthouse in Primghar. She has set the new pretrial conference date for Friday, October 6th.
