View The Bison This Saturday At Prairie Heritage Center

O’Brien County, Iowa — The Prairie Heritage Center, located near Peterson, in southeast O’Brien County has a very special event coming up this weekend.

O’Brien County Naturalist Charlene Elyea says the event, which is scheduled for this Saturday, November 3rd, is centered around some of the residents at the Prairie Heritage Center.

Elyea says the Bison is the “National Mammal” of the United States.

She talks about all the events planned for National Bison Day at the Prairie Heritage Center.

Saturday’s event is scheduled for 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Prairie Heritage Center, 4931 Yellow Avenue, rural Peterson.
