VNU Run, Walk & Roll Is Saturday

Sheldon, Iowa – An annual event that’s been happening for two decades will take place again this Saturday in Sheldon.

The 21st Annual Run, Walk & Roll will be happening on the campus of Village Northwest Unlimited in Sheldon. Village CEO Barry Whitsell talks about the origins of the Run, Walk & Roll.

Whitsell says that since the first Run, Walk & Roll, the event has grown tremendously.

Whitsell says they’re expecting nearly 600 participants for Saturday’s event.

He says this year’s Run, Walk & Roll will get underway at 9:00 o’clock Saturday morning.

Whitsell says Package Pickup for those taking part will take place Friday afternoon from 4:00 until 5:30 in the Wansink Center Commons, and again Saturday morning from 7:30 to 8:30.

Whitsell says this is a timed event, with awards for the best times in each age category.

He says it’s not too late to get registered to take part in the event. In fact he says registration is open up until 8:30 Saturday morning. Registration fee is $45.00.
