Mid-week conditions will be quiet for most, with a good deal of sunshine, and temperatures a bit either side of normal as we welcome August. One fly in the ointment will be a weak front pushing south on Wednesday which could spark a couple of thunderstorms across mainly southwest Minnesota into northwest Iowa during the midday and afternoon hours. By Friday, southerly winds will strengthen, bringing back more humidity and warmer temperatures, and opening the door for a better chance of thunderstorms Friday night through the weekend, especially during the overnight periods.
