Sheldon, Iowa — Your final opportunity to give blood at a community blood drive in Sheldon this year is this Wednesday, November 2nd at Sanford Sheldon.
Community Blood Bank Executive Director Ken Ver Steeg tells us about it.
He reminds us of a few things that blood donors need to keep in mind.
He says if you have had COVID recently, you have to be symptom-free for at least five days before you can give blood. Also, if you’ve never been vaccinated against COVID that is still OK too. They will accept your donation. VerSteeg says if you have one of the “O” blood types they need you now.
To schedule an appointment people may log onto cbblifeblood.org, select “events”, November 2 and Sanford Sheldon Medical Center or call 605-331-3222. Information can be found at log onto www.cbblifeblood.org . VerSteeg says walk-ins will also be welcome if you don’t mind a short wait.
