The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 7:55 AM, 53-year-old Michael DeJager of Doon was driving a 2000 Kenworth Semi owned by Farmers Elevator Cooperative of Rock Valley westbound on Highway 9 near the ball fields. A 2004 Chrysler Sebring being driven by 22-year-old Alexandria Kollis of Larchwood, was southbound on Edgerly Street.

The Lyon County Ambulance transported Kollis to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.

Kollis’ vehicle sustained about $2,500 in damage. Farmers Elevator Cooperative’s semi did not appear to have any reportable damage, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
