A pound of quarters and a pound of dimes are roughly worth the same amount… and that amount is $20. A dime weighs just under 2 ¼ grams, and a quarter weighs just over 5 ½ grams. That means a pound of dimes would be roughly 200 dimes, which my 1980’s school math says is $20. A pound of quarters would be roughly 80 quarters, or $20.
