(KIWA Staff Photo)Spirit Lake, Iowa (KUOO) — Drivers should expect extra law enforcement on the roads over the Labor Day holiday weekend.
Iowa State Patrol Trooper Kevin Krull says the Patrol is again partnering with the Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau and local agencies for a special enforcement effort.
Krull says non-compliance with Iowa’s hands-free law continues to be an issue.
Krull also urges anyone planning to drink over the holiday weekend to make a safe plan.
The special enforcement campaign runs through Labor Day.
