AEM urges lawmakers to take on supply chain issues legislatively

IARN — I don’t think anybody here does not know about the fact that we have an issue with our supply chain. When it comes to equipment, could we be seeing shortages on parts and replacement machinery?

Kip Eideberg is the Senior Vice President of Government & Industry Relations for the Association of Equipment Manufacturers. He was just visiting Iowa last week with Senator Joni Ernst, in Knoxville, at the Weiler plant. This was part of the Senator’s 99 county tour that she holds annually.

It was an opportunity to discuss the AEM’s legislative priorities aimed at restoring some certainty for American manufacturers. Their top priority is the Bipartisan Innovation Act. The legislation includes the Chips Act. The shortage of semiconductor chips is having a huge impact on our production.
