Spencer, Iowa — The open class livestock entry deadline is fast approaching for the Clay County Fair.
All entries for open-class beef cattle, dairy cattle, swine, sheep, rabbits, and horses are due by midnight on Monday, August 21st. The exhibitor handbook can be viewed online at www.claycountyfair.com, or pick one up at the Fair Administrative Offices to find the rules and guidelines to enter livestock at the fair. Preregistration for all livestock departments with the exception of rabbits is mandatory.
More than 500 exhibitors showed off over two-thousand head of livestock at the Clay County Fair in 2022. In addition to the open class showings, several hundred FFA and 4H exhibitors are also featured at the fair.
This year’s Clay County Fair runs from September 9th through the 17th.
