Estherville, Iowa (KUOO) — An updated ordinance regulating all-terrain vehicles, utility vehicles, and off-road vehicles is going into effect in Estherville. The city council approved the revisions Monday.
City Administrator Penny Clayton says the charges were needed to comply with state law.
Clayton says the ordinance includes additional regulations.
The ordinance also outlines hours of operation, with an exception allowing use outside those hours for snow removal. Operators must be at least 18 and have a valid driver’s license.
