‘Corn sweat’ helped make Iowa hot and sticky this past week and will again in days ahead

Statewide, Iowa – Iowa had a steamy summer week and forecasters say most of Iowa will see high temperatures in the mid to upper 90s starting Monday.

National Weather Service meteorologist Mike Fowle says it won’t be unbearably hot, not yet at least.

Fowle says it will eventually get more humid, making it feel even hotter and muggier.

As of now, Iowa is under no heat advisories or warnings, but Fowle says that could change later in the week.
