At a news conference on his farm near Van Meter, former Madison County Democratic Party Vice Chair Ryan Marquardt said farmers are frustrated by a lack of progress on key economic issues.
Shelby County farmer Ellen Walsh-Rosman said many producers are facing financial pressure from high diesel prices, low commodity prices, and uncertainty surrounding trade policy.
Iowa Democrats also hosted an event in downtown Sioux City on Thursday morning and encouraged volunteers to participate in door-to-door voter outreach efforts ahead of Election Day.
