Iowa (RI) — With sunny skies and temperatures in the 70s and 80s expected across Iowa, this weekend could be an ideal time to hit the road for the Choose Iowa Fall Crawl, underway statewide Friday and Saturday.

Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig says about 125 local farms and small businesses are participating in the second annual event.

Naig says the Fall Crawl gives Iowans and visitors an opportunity to discover unique destinations, enjoy family-friendly activities, and support rural neighbors and merchants.

Participating locations are featured on the Choose Iowa Passport, which allows visitors to find stops and plan their trips. The free passport can be delivered by text message or email.

Naig says the event is also an opportunity for families to learn more about where their food comes from and experience the diversity of Iowa agriculture.

The Choose Iowa Passport was launched in 2025 to connect consumers with Iowa farms, locally produced food and beverages, and agritourism destinations across the state. Participants can also redeem points for prizes, discounts, and Choose Iowa merchandise.
