Sioux City, Iowa (KTIV) — Federal authorities have obtained a new indictment against three defendants in connection with the overdose death of 14-year-old McKenna Wendel.

According to prosecutors, Mark Milk provided Wendel with cocaine that resulted in her death. Authorities also allege Kevin Chapman supplied the cocaine to Milk.

The new indictment charges both Milk and Chapman with conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance resulting in death.

Wendel was reported missing in March. Her body was discovered several days later in Brookings County, South Dakota.

Milk and Chapman are scheduled to appear in federal court in Sioux City on Oct. 30th.

The grand jury also modified the charges against a third defendant. Jon Rogness, who has already pleaded guilty to multiple charges in the case, is no longer charged as an accessory after the fact.
