Sioux City, Iowa (KTIV) — Sioux Falls-based nonprofit ministry LifeLight is partnering with the Tyson Events Center to bring a new Christian music festival to Sioux City.
LifeLight Sioux City is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 14th, 2027, and organizers expect attendance to reach between 15,000 and 20,000 people.
The all-day event will feature a main stage in the north parking lot of the Tyson Events Center with musical performances and speakers. Additional attractions on the opposite side of the arena will include BMX and FMX action sports, food trucks, and retail vendors.
LifeLight CEO Josh Brewer said the organization believes Sioux City is a strong fit for its own festival and noted that local leaders have expressed strong support for bringing the event to the community.
Brewers also said that the festival will remain free and open to everyone, saying the goal is to remove barriers that might keep people from attending.
Organizers say the event is intended to be more than a music festival. LifeLight plans to partner with Convoy of Hope and other organizations to provide free resources and assistance for people of all ages.
Musical artists and speakers will be announced once agreements are finalized. Volunteer opportunities for local churches and community organizations are also expected to be announced as the event approaches.
