Orange City, Iowa — An Orange City man has been sentenced to a 10-year prison term for intent to deliver methamphetamine.
Sioux County Attorney Thomas Kunstle tells us 23-year-old Juan Alexis Marques of Orange City was sentenced for Intent To Deliver Methamphetamine, a Class C Felony.
Kunstle says that in August of 2024, Sioux County law enforcement launched an investigation into Alexis Marques for the distribution of methamphetamine. The investigation confirmed he had distributed at least five grams of methamphetamine in exchange for cash. Alexis Marques later admitted to multiple acts of distributing methamphetamine between August and December of 2024.
Alexis Marques was sentenced to a 10-year indeterminate prison sentence, a fine of $1,370, plus a 15% surcharge and court costs. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is expected to take him into custody after he serves his prison sentence.
