Kingsley, Iowa — A rural Kingsley resident has died as the result of a farm accident near that community over the weekend.
According to the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office, at about 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, October 5th, their emergency center received a call of a farm-related accident on a farm northwest of Kingsley.
When emergency responders arrived, they learned that during harvest operations the victim, later identified as 58-year-old Dana Sitzmann was struck by an unattended wagon and suffered fatal injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office tells us the Kingsley Ambulance Squad, Kingsley Fire and Police Departments and the Remsen Ambulance Squad assisted on the scene.
