(KIWA Staff Photo)Orange City, Iowa (Sioux County Radio) — The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help after an object thrown from a vehicle shattered the windshield of another pickup west of Orange City Tuesday night.
The incident was reported around 9:20 p.m. near the intersection of 450th Street and Hickory Avenue, about three miles west of Orange City.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, 18-year-old Christopher Kieffer of Rapid City, South Dakota, was driving a 2019 Ram 1500 eastbound on 450th Street when an object was thrown from another vehicle and struck the Ram, breaking its windshield.
Kieffer was evaluated at the scene by Orange City Ambulance personnel. Two passengers in the pickup were taken to the Orange City hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Damage to the Ram was estimated at $1,000.
Investigators are looking for an unknown Ford F-150 believed to be involved. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office at 712-737-3307 or submit information through the Text-A-Tip program.
