Western Christian Homecoming Is Next Week

Hull, Iowa — It’s nearly time for homecoming at Western Christian High School in Hull, and the homecoming royalty has been announced.

The court consists of Hadley Dekkers, Lydia Bleeker, Makiah Van Surksum, Avery Dykstra, Breslyn Kooima, Hailey Ammons, Kade LeLoux, Carson Smith, Lane Jacobsma, Preston Louters, Logan Minderhoud, and Jesse Heynen.

Western Christian officials tell us a full week is planned, including special alumni chapel speakers and musicians, dress-up theme days, athletic contests including a volleyball pink-out, and other student activities, culminating in the homecoming football game against Cherokee on Friday night:

PINK OUT: As part of our Homecoming celebration, we will host a Pink Out in support of Ms. Bobbi Jeltema’s daughter, Cassandra Mars, as she continues her cancer journey. Proceeds from the Pink Shirt Fundraiser will go directly toward supporting Cassandra and her family during this difficult season. We invite our school and community to wear pink, show their support, and surround the Jeltema family with encouragement and love.
