Zach Lahn Rallies Lyon County Audience; Says He Lived In Rock Rapids As A Kid

Rock Rapids, Iowa — While it was a Friday night during football season, and the Central Lyon/George Little Rock Lions were playing their final football game of the regular season just blocks away, over 70 people turned out to see Republican gubernatorial candidate Zach Lahn at the Forster Community Center in Rock Rapids on Friday night.

Lahn spoke and took questions from the audience for about an hour.

We asked Lahn why he is running for governor.

Lahn tells us about one of the most challenging issues that people ask about on the campaign trail.

We asked him why his opponent, Rob Sand’s campaign, claims that Lahn doesn’t live in Iowa.

In fact, during his speech, Lahn shared the fact that he actually lived in Rock Rapids as a small child. In fact, he says his sister was born at Merrill Pioneer Community Hospital in Rock Rapids in 1989, while the family lived in the community.

While he does own property in Kansas, Lahn and his family live in Belle Plaine, Iowa — about 30 miles west-southwest of Cedar Rapids, where he is registered to vote.
