Iowa (RI) — Governor Kim Reynolds’ office says her husband, Kevin Reynolds, is recovering after undergoing surgery to remove a cancer-related brain tumor.
Kevin Reynolds was diagnosed with lung cancer three years ago and underwent radiation treatment before beginning immunotherapy, which kept the cancer in remission. According to the governor, the cancer later spread to his brain, requiring surgery to remove the tumor.
He will now begin radiation therapy as part of his continued treatment.
Governor Reynolds said her family has experienced the ups and downs that come with a long-term cancer diagnosis. She added that after 44 years of marriage, she and her husband remain a strong team and will continue facing the fight together with the support of their family.
