When the cold season settled in, Mutt and Bernice would head south. They spent twenty-plus years together in the Arizona sunshine. When warmer weather allowed, Bernice enjoyed all things outdoors; a round of golf or digging in the garden – especially tending her flowerbeds. She always found time for a good visit with her friends, and if it included a game of cards, it only made it better. Above all, time spent with her family was what she treasured most.
Bernice is survived by her husband of 62 years, “Mutt”; her daughters: Candice (Randy) Lyman of Sanborn and Shawn McReynolds of Webb City, MO, five grandchildren: Chad (Rhonda) Lyman, Alison (Jeff) Spath, Kim Lyman, Amanda Dorman, and Keith McReynolds; five great-grandchildren: Morgan and Jayden Lyman, Conley Bonnicksen, and Charlie and Emma Spath; brother, John Possin of Washington; sister, Irene May of Florida; many very special nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her son, Conly; six sisters: Viola, Luverne, Evie, Honey, Frances, and Esther.
