KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Defending national champion Southern Oregon garners the No. 1 ranking in the seventh regular-season edition of the NAIA Football Coaches Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Monday.
No. 2 Morningside (Iowa) (6) and No. 5 Doane (Neb.) (1) received first-place votes.
Northwestern (Iowa) fell the hardest of any of the teams still ranked in the Top 25. The Red Raiders slid from No. 15 to No. 23 after losing its third game in the last four weeks – all to ranked opponents.
The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) leads all leagues with five programs represented – Morningside, Doane, No. 19 Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.), Northwestern and No. 24 Concordia (Neb.)
