A Red Raider Earns GPAC Golfer-of-the-Week Honors

Sioux City, Iowa – A Northwestern College Red Raider has been named a Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Golfer-of-the-Week as announced by the GPAC Wednesday, March 25th.

Evan Smith of Northwestern College is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week. Smith, a sophomore from Knoxville, Iowa, tied Northwestern’s individual record for single-round low, shooting a 65 in the second round of the Doane Spring Invite.

He won the 107-player field for his second-career tournament win, finishing five under par in the event. As a team, Northwestern joined Smith’s record by tying the team single-round low with a score of 274 in the second round.
