Jenna Aalbers of Alton has signed a letter of intent to continue her softball career at Northwestern College.
Aalbers is a 5’5″ outfielder who has played two years for the MOC-Floyd Valley High School softball team heading into her final season this summer. Aalbers hit .301 with a team-high three home runs and 34 RBIs in leading the Dutch to a 17-10 overall record. She totaled eight extra-base hits, 22 runs scored and six stolen bases.
“I chose Northwestern because I loved the atmosphere there,” stated Aalbers. “I am ready to pursue my faith even more and to challenge myself in softball.”
Aalbers earned all-conference honors last summer and plans to major in Secondary Education / Literature at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Brady and Lindsay.
“Jenna is a great signing for us,” commented Northwestern Softball Head Coach Shane Bouman. “She is a skilled player, both in the field and at the plate, and is having a strong career at MOC-Floyd Valley. Jenna will be an asset to our team and to our campus and we look forward to the contributions she will make in both areas.”
