Anderson To Play For NWC Volleyball

Cherokee, Iowa — Grace Anderson, of Cherokee, has signed a letter of intent to continue her volleyball career at Northwestern College.

Anderson is a 5’8″ outside hitter who had a stand-out, three-year career playing for the Cherokee Washington High School volleyball team. Anderson put down 2.4 kills per set and hit .274 in leading her team to a 16-11 record last fall. She led the team in digs, averaging 3.3 per set, and served 41 aces in earning first team all-conference honors for the second time.

“Grace is another great fit for our volleyball program and campus,” commented Northwestern Head Coach Kyle Van Den Bosch. “Grace is a great competitor and has the skill to play both in the front and back row. She has a team-first mindset and has been coached well throughout her high school career. We look forward to having Grace join our Raider volleyball family.”

For her career, Anderson totaled 531 kills, nearly 800 digs and 130 aces while being a three-time all-conference selection. She plans to study Biology / Health Professions at Northwestern and was named to the academic all-state / all-conference teams. Anderson is the daughter of Joel and Charity.
