Area Athletes Named to IHSBCA All-State Baseball Teams

Northwest Iowa — Several Northwest Iowa athletes have been selected to the 2026 Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association (IHSBCA) All-State Teams, earning recognition across Classes 1A, 2A, and 3A.

In Class 3A, MOC‑Floyd Valley senior Brooks McCarty was named a First‑Team pitcher, and sophomore Henry Heller earned First‑Team outfield honors. Junior Kaleb Koerselman was selected as a Third‑Team utility player.

In Class 2A, Unity Christian placed several players on the All‑State teams. Senior Austin Hall was named a First‑Team catcher, and senior Dylan Bosma earned First‑Team utility honors. Junior Adler Van Essen was also selected as a Third‑Team pitcher.

Multiple West Lyon players were also selected. Senior Sam Underberg was selected as a Second‑Team outfielder, while senior Cooper Schoening earned Second‑Team utility honors. Sophomore River Kramer was also named Third‑Team utility.

Hinton junior Dawson Spies was named a Third‑Team catcher, and junior Casen Boeve earned Third‑Team outfield recognition.

In Class 1A, Remsen St. Mary’s placed sophomore Dalton Klein on the Second-Team pitching list, while freshman Jayze Bunkers earned Third-Team utility honors.

Gehlen Catholic and Akron-Westfield baseball also made the all-state list. Gehlen Catholic senior Owen Sievers was named a Second-Team outfielder, while Akron-Westfield senior William Hartman earned Third-Team first base recognition.

The IHSBCA also announced statewide awards, including the All‑State “Super Team,” academic honors, and leadership awards.
