(KIWA Staff Photo)Westwood, California (RI) — Today we continue our 18-team Big Ten Preview with a look at UCLA, who enters 2026 with high hopes under first-year head coach Bob Chesney.
Chesney arrives in Westwood after two seasons at James Madison. The last coach to make that same jump to the Big Ten — Curt Cignetti, from JMU to Indiana — went on to win a national title with the Hoosiers. Chesney says he won’t put limits on what the Bruins can accomplish.
Chesney and the Bruins open the season September 5th, on the road at Cal.
Tomorrow: We put Oregon under the spotlight.
