Bomgaars to Golf at NWC

Northwestern College logoOrange City, Iowa — Nick Bomgaars has signed a letter of intent to continue his golf career at Northwestern College next fall.

Bomgaars has played three years for Sheldon High School heading into his final season this spring. Bomgaars earned first team all-conference honors after leading his team to a 108-15 record and a fifth place finish at the 2A state tournament. He has been part of teams that won back-to-back Siouxland Conference Championships and has a personal best of 38 for nine holes and 78 for 18. An honor roll student and member of the National Honor Society, Bomgaars plans to major in exercise science or Athletic Training at Northwestern. He is the son of Gene and Amy.

“We are excited to have another Sheldon player join the Red Raiders next year,” said head Northwestern coach Aaron Aberson. “Nick comes from a program that has seen a lot of team success in high school and we know he’s going to work hard to ensure that continues in college. He is a great student and has the leadership qualities we are looking for in our program. I’m excited to see Nick’s growth on and off the golf course.”
