Des Moines, Iowa — Pairings have been released for next week’s Iowa High School Boys State Basketball Tournament, which is scheduled for Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines,
Two KIWA listening area teams have qualified for the State Tournament. The South O’Brien Wolverines drew the 6th seed in the tournament, and will play their quarterfinal round game in Class 1A Monday afternoon at 2:00, when they face the #3 seed, Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto. The Western Christian Wolfpack are the # 2 seed in the Class 2A field, and will open up their tournament play Tuesday at 12:15 pm against 7th seeded Pella Christian.
All of the Boys State Tournament games for both South O’Brien and Western Christian will be heard live on KIWA-FM, and streamed online at www.kiwaradio.com.
