Orange City, Iowa — Alexis Bunkers (Remsen, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her softball career at Northwestern next year.
Bunkers is a 5’8” multi-sports standout who has played four years for the Remsen St. Mary’s softball team. Bunkers hit a team best .396 with eight home runs, eight doubles and five triples in leading her team to a 20-11 record last year. She also went 10-4 with a 3.30 earned run average in the circle, recording 47 strikeouts in 95 1/3 innings pitched. Bunkers earned all-state honors last summer and was named to the state tournament all-state team as a sophomore. She is both a two-time all-conference and all-district selection. Bunkers plans to major in biology at Northwestern and is the daughter of Paige and Jason List.
