Northwest Iowa — The Class 2A District 1 All-District Football Team has been released. Sheldon senior Ryan Van Marel was the MVP lineman for this years squad. The offensive MVP is junior quarterback J.T. Van’t Hul of Boyden Hull Rock Valley. Senior team mate Austin Rozeboom was named the defensive MVP. Special team MVP is sophomore kicker Damon Walhof from Sioux Center. The assistant coach of the year is Chad Koedam of MOC Floyd Valley.
Sheldon Orabs named to the all-district defensive teams included junior defensive back Tyler Lode and senior linebackers Jason Barwick, Jason Stegeman and Kyle Boerhave. Orabs named to the offensive squads include senior quarterback Jaden Kleinhesselink, senior running back Brady Prescott and senior wide receivers Phillip Cain and Tyler Merley.
