Sioux Center, Iowa — The Dordt Defender women’s basketball team had two players each score their one-thousandth career point on Friday night in a win over Waldorf.
Rachel Evavold (Senior; Bloomington, Minnesota) entered the game with 992 points and scored 12 on 6-9 shooting to become the 16th player in program history to hit the mark.
Later in the game Erika Feenstra (Junior; Hull, Iowa) reached the mark after entering the game with 980 points. Feenstra ended the game with 26 points on 10-11 shooting and now has 1,006 points.
Feenstra scored 343 points as a freshman and then averaged over 20 points a game in 2018-19 and totaled 631 points. Feenstra also has 389 rebounds over the course of her career and is making 53.7 percent of her field goal attempts.
Evavold scored 173 points as a freshman before scoring 418 and 401 points during the last two campaigns. Evavold has 562 career rebounds and is also an all-conference performer in softball.
