Friday Football Broadcast Preview – October 9th, 2026

It’s Week Seven of the high school football season, and with the playoffs fast approaching, every district game carries added significance.

Our broadcast coverage this week features Sheldon traveling to Central Lyon/George-Little Rock on KIWA AM 1550 / FM 100.7, while Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley hits the road for a key district matchup at Unity Christian on KIWA FM 105.3.


Sheldon vs. Central Lyon/George-Little Rock

The Orabs are still searching for their first win of the season, while the Lions enter the week undefeated and atop the latest Radio Iowa Class 2A Poll.

Orab Head Coach Andy Cooper is impressed with the Lions as a complete team but especially with their discipline.

Lions Head Coach Curtis Eben discusses this week’s preparation for Sheldon.

Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley vs. Unity Christian

The Nighthawks enter the matchup 2-4 overall and 1-2 in district play. Unity Christian also sits at 2-4 overall, but the Knights are one game ahead in the district standings at 2-1.
