Nicholas Geels, a senior at Western Christian High School, has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender cross country and track programs.
Geels has a personal best of 17:20 on a 5,000 meter course and was a part of a Western Christian cross country team that qualified for the 2014 State Championship and helped the Wolfpack to a 5th place finish. Geels was 24th in the scoring and also ran on the 2012 state qualifying team.
Nicholas is the son of Steve and Rosalind Geels of Sheldon, Iowa.
