Grover Commits To Northwestern

Travis Grover of Spencer has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.

Grover is a 6’5″, 270-pound offensive/defensive lineman who had a standout, three-year career playing for Spencer High School. Grover earned all-district honors and helped lead his team to the 3A state quarterfinals with an 8-3 record. He totaled one quarterback sack and three tackles on defense and paved the way for an offense that rushed for 2,588 yards and 37 touchdowns, averaging 5.5 yards per play. Grover also qualified for state and earned all-conference honors in track and field. He is a member of the National Honor Society and plans to major in Biology/Health Professions at Northwestern. Grover is the son of Brian and Stacy.

“Travis is big, physical lineman who has outstanding potential,” commented Northwestern Head Coach Matt McCarty. “He had a very good career playing at Spencer High School and we are excited to have him join our Red Raider football team. Travis has the tools to play a pivotal role along our o-line over the next four years.”
