Sioux Center, Iowa — Wilson Harshbarger, a senior at Sioux Center High School, has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender basketball program.
Harshbarger is a 6-8 post player who averaged 10.6 points per game in 2018-19 while converting 51 percent of his field goals and he took in over six rebounds per game. He also played AAU basketball with the South Dakota Network.
“We are very excited to have Wilson join our Dordt Basketball family. He is a big guy that is multi dimensional and can do a lot of different things well on the basketball floor. We look forward to his growth as a player, and as a person on Dordt University’s campus,” said Dordt basketball coach Brian Van Haaften.
Wilson is the son of Lonnie and Stephanie Harshbarger of Sioux Center, Iowa. He plans to study Business Administration at Dordt.
“I value community,” said Harshbarger. “I felt like this is the place where I can grow the most in my faith.”
